Scent Throw

How strong will my candle smell?

All our candles are made with 100% coconut wax, which is known for delivering an excellent scent throw — both cold (unlit) and hot (when burning). Coconut wax absorbs and releases fragrance oil more effectively than paraffin or soy alternatives, so you can expect a consistent, noticeable scent to fill the room.

What affects scent throw in my space?

Room size, ventilation, and ceiling height all influence how strongly you'll notice a fragrance. For best results, burn your candle in a smaller or enclosed space first, and keep doors and windows closed. Avoid placing candles directly in a draught.

How long does the fragrance last?

Jar candles (Maison Muse Collection): approximately 30 hours burn time
Islamic / 99 Names candles: approximately 25–30 hours
Wax melt snap bars: approximately 10–15 hours per piece
Daisy wax melts: approximately 6–12 hours per melt
Reed diffusers (100ml): approximately 3–4 months

Burn Performance

Why should I do a first burn correctly?

On the first burn, allow the candle to remain lit until the melt pool reaches the edge of the vessel — this prevents tunnelling (a hollow channel forming down the centre) and ensures an even burn for the life of the candle.

How do I keep the flame burning evenly?

Trim the wick to approximately 5mm before each burn.
Keep the candle away from draughts, open windows, and fans.
Burn for no longer than 4 hours at a time.
Allow the candle to cool fully before relighting.

Is coconut wax safe and clean-burning?

Yes. Coconut wax is biodegradable, non-toxic, and burns at a lower temperature than many alternatives, producing minimal soot. Our candles are vegan and cruelty-free — made without animal-derived ingredients and not tested on animals.

What can I personalise?

Will I receive a digital proof before production?

We do not currently provide a digital proof prior to production. Please review your personalisation details very carefully at checkout — names, dates, spelling, and capitalisation — as we produce items exactly as entered. If you have a specific query about your order, contact us as soon as possible after placing your order.

Can I make changes after ordering?

Because personalised items enter production quickly, we cannot guarantee changes once an order is placed. Please get in touch immediately if you need to amend any details, and we will do our best to help before production begins.

Are personalised items refundable?

How many favours do I need for my event?

A good rule of thumb is to order one favour per guest, plus a small buffer (around 5–10%) to account for last-minute additions to your guest list or any that may be needed for the top table, gift bags, or keepsakes. It's always easier to order a few extra upfront than to place a top-up order at short notice.

Do you offer bulk or wholesale pricing?

When should I order for a wedding or event?

We recommend ordering at least 4–6 weeks before your event date to allow sufficient production time and ensure your candles are at their best for fragrance. Production & Delivery Lead Times

How long does production take?

Standard (non-personalised) orders: dispatched within 1–2 working days (Monday–Friday, excluding UK bank holidays)
Custom / personalised favours (e.g. mini bubble candle favours, custom tag gifts): 5–7 working days
Serene Flower Candle (custom order): 3–5 working days
Gift wrapping: 3–5 working days

How long does delivery take after dispatch?

Can I return or exchange my order?
